Mark is a philosopher, author and environmentalist who has been teaching and writing about personal development, self-leadership and environmental issues for over three decades.
He is an honours graduate from the University of Greenwich and worked in the music industry for 13 years as joint Managing Director of a large export company, winning the Queen’s Award for Export on two occasions.
The growing demand for his talks, workshops and writings, encouraged him to become a full-time international speaker and author. Since then, he has had many articles published and several acclaimed non-fiction books such as: 'Courting the Future: Preparing for a Different World' - a collection of original, contemporary essays.
In recent years, Mark has been developing a trilogy for young adult readers, which focuses on some of the key issues that they face: from relationships, body image and bullying, to the climate emergency.
The first book, ‘Home: My life in the Universe’, containing 21 colour illustrations, was launched at Waterstones on Earth Day 2022. ‘Home’ is an original coming-of-age story and a profound journey of self-discovery and developing friendships. It has outstanding reviews including from teachers, librarians and in the press. ‘Home’ was a recommended summer read by The Scotsman who wrote: “Home is a thought-provoking and delightful read.” Since the release of 'Home', Mark has been invited to schools around the UK, in Europe and the UAE. He has now met with over 14,000 students.
Mark lives with his wife in a village on the green belt of London, where he has been campaigning for protection of the countryside, biodiversity and natural habitats.
